Suzy Favor Hamilton

Suzy Favor-Hamilton (born August 8, 1968) is an American former professional middle distance runner. She said that she deliberately fell in the 2000 Olympics when it was clear that she could not win a medal. She said she did so because she was trying to win a medal in memory of a relative who had recently died.
