Kumki movie review:
The first thing I would say about this movie is 'its a must watch movie'... Storyline is completely different from prabu solomon's previous movie "mynaa" even though the locations and cast look almost simliar...
This season of movies belongs to animals it seems, people who had watched "life of pi" would have definitely loved richard parker "tiger" and people who have watched n going to watch kumki will definitely love "manikam" elephant...
Huge plus points of the movie is the elephant, locations, picturisation, n songs... You would love the music as it goes deep into ears n heart... You ll keep humming the songs even after you come of the movie, its been so impressive...
As usual and as expected, film ends with tragedy n the good thing is, hero n heroine doesnt die and they aren't tortured too...
Excellent cinematography, kudos to the team for finding such beautiful locations and shooting out there... Elephant swimming scene, from bottom of the river bed n the scene from the top of water falls take us to another world...
Storyline is pretty simple, hero n elephant comes to a village to stop the villagers from being attacked by a forest elephant... To attack forest elephant, you need well trained elephant so called "kumki".. But manikam is an innocent elephant... How hero trains manikam n attacks the forest elephants n how he wins the battle is the base story.... In between love track goes, love scenes doesnt stay in heart as it is too short n fail to give that feel of mynaa... Thats is the only drawback...
When you come out of the movie, you would feel, the climax is chosen correctly so that the movie would in our hearts.. n you ll have big satisfaction of watching a decent movie... Go along with your parents and it is worth your money...
