Micheal Hussey (Mr. Cricket)

This has been a season of retirements. During the start of December, Australia's most successful caption Ricky Ponting has announced his retirement. On 23rd December, the god of cricket Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement from ODI cricket. Its not even a week from Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement, its time for another retirement and that is ever reliable and ever dependable 37 year old Micheal Hussey.

Micheal Hussey has announced his retirement after the Syndey test which commences on 3rd January. He is one of the most consistent player the world cricket has ever seen. He is considered as a replica Micheal beven or better than him. He is one capable player who can adjust to any format of cricket immediately and it shows clearly in his records.

He made his debut when he was 30 and the achievement he made from there on was terrific. He will be missed on and off the field by the entire cricket fans around the fan. Whenever Australia is in trouble, he is the one who comes and rescues them from danger. His innings against pakistan in T20 World cup semifinals to put Australia into finals is still considered as the best T20 innings so far. He made Australia to win that match from nowhere. He smacked 20 runs in final over of the match which was bowled by Ajmal to take Australia into finals.

The entire cricketing world would be shocked to know this. But I think, its the right decision that Micheal Hussey had taken. Nobody had criticized about this form, and he is leaving cricket when he is in top of the game.It is difficult to replace a player like Hussey. Australia would definitely miss a player of his caliber. Test Cricket will miss him and people are not going to see the best form of test cricket here after. Lets wish best of luck for Micheal Hussey for the decision he had taken.
